System Engineer

The System Support Engineer will support the day to day operational activities of the mission-critical infrastructure and security systems.

The System Support Engineer reports to the Director of Infrastructure & Security, and works with our technology team to continue and expand our move onto common IT productivity systems for our Restaurant Operations and Home Office. This position will have a measurable impact on our ability to continue to grow and on our profitability.


Take ownership of system issues and work hard to research and recommend solutions.Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.Coordinate and execute effective installation and performance of advanced operating system hardware and software on servers.Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.Maintain, monitor, analyze system components and make recommendations regarding computer system security, monitor network, computer and disk utilization.Conduct software and hardware evaluations, provide technical analysis and implement systems to meet the company’s IT goals.Work with the IT Group to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed.Obtain and/or maintain technical certifications necessary for continued growth and success.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technology related degree.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Linux
  • Proven problem solving, conceptual thinking, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to present complex ideas in clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical groups.
  • Strong customer service focus and detailed oriented individual with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, or MCTS certifications strongly preferred
  • CCNA certification preferred
